Rosemary Bacon Rosebuds

Total Time 40 minutes
Servings 16

Ingredients

  • 16 slices thin cut bacon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp dried rosemary

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400℉.

  2. Coil the bacon into rose shape and skewer with toothpicks crosswise about ⅓ of the way down.

  3. Place rose in a mini-muffin tin, suspended by the toothpicks with the fatty edge down and meaty edge facing up, so fat will drain into the cups.

  4. Sprinkle with half the brown sugar mixture and bake for 15 minutes until sugar begins to caramelize. Sprinkle with remaining sugar mixture and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, until edges of bacon are crispy.

  5. Remove from pan to drain and cool before serving.
