Bacon Balsamic Honey Chews

  • 1 cup honey
  • 1 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 12 slices thick cut cooked bacon, cut in 3 pieces


  1. Preheat oven to 400℉. Place a wire rack in a rimmed baking sheet. Line another baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Place bacon slices on the wire rack and bake for 15-20 minutes until bacon is crispy.

  3. In a heavy saucepan, boil honey and vinegar together until mixture reaches 300℉ on a candy thermometer (hard crack stage.)

  4. Using tongs and working quickly, dip each piece of bacon into the honey mixture to coat and lay on a parchment lined baking sheet. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Store in refrigerator until hardened and ready to eat.
